Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) is a Maharatna state owned Indian corporation headquartered in Gurugram, India primarily engaged in power transmission. Power Grid transmits the entire transmission to its own transmission network around 50% of India’s total power. PGCIL was established in accordance with the Companies Act of 1956 on 23 October 1989.
